God of Rock is a rhythm-based fighting game developed by Maccima Games. In this game, the mysterious God of Rock has revived the souls of the universe's greatest musicians to compete for his entertainment. Each musician, revitalized with new bodies and powers, becomes a contestant in the game, battling it out for musical supremacy on a global stage.

The gameplay of God of Rock combines rhythm-based mechanics with fighting game elements in intense 1v1 matches. Players can choose from a dozen unique fighters, each with their own design, mechanics, and harmonic attacks. The objective is to soften up opponents by executing normal moves and building meter by hitting notes to the beat of the song. Players can then spend their meter to unleash powerful EX and special moves that deal damage and add complexity to their tracks. The battles continue until only one fighter remains standing.

The game offers a blend of rhythm-based gameplay, where players must hit notes in time with the music, and fighting game mechanics, where they execute various moves and combos to defeat their opponents. As the battles progress, the music track grows in complexity and difficulty, adding to the intensity of the matches.

God of Rock is available for both the PS4 and PS5 platforms. Players who already own the PS4 version can also download the PS5 digital version at no extra cost.
